Hey everyone, basically I want to change my car but cannot decide on what car to get so some opinions would be appreciated.

Here are the selection of cars I've considered

Honda S2000 GT
Mercedes SLK 350
Lexus IS250
Honda Civic Type R GT
Nissan 350Z
Alfa Romeo 159 2.4JTD
Seat Leon Cupra

I know the selection is varied but I just like these cars, obviously some of these cars are tax band M so they would have to be 2004 or older, anything else I could buy a lot newer.
If there are any other suggestions I'd be happy to hear too, I want a car with some power but not modified. Insurance company will laugh if I get a modded car

What will you be using it for other than transporting yourself?

What type of driving do you tend to do most? Yearly mileage? Do you need back seats for family transport? Budget?

A seriously random list, pure bred sports car and big FWD diesel saloon considered in equal measure!
You must have a rough idea of what you want to use it for?

I have no children so don't care if I need back seats and the only person I really have in the car with me is the gf. Most the time I'm alone in the car. I purely added the Alfa because I currently own a GT and love it. Just a little bored now as I've had it 4 years. The car will be used for just getting to work and leisurely driving. The drive to work is mainly a motorway commute and only 11 miles from my house.
I'm well aware the list is random, but i just like those cars biggrin

So you need a car for leisurely driving, motorways, do a low annual mileage and can get away with 2 seats.

I'd be tempted by a 350z or the SLK350 from your list in that case. S2000 is more focused and would be worse on the motorway than the Merc and Zed.

Volvo V70 - isn't it the answer to all these threads?

You'll probably want the "R" version though.

Dunno if this makes a difference, but I like cars that arent common on the roads. When I bought my Alfa i was choosing between that and an Audi A3, considering half the people on hte road drive an audi and at least half of those drive an A3 I decided on the rarer car. And i'm so glad I did. I guess the list i provided arent common cars so im pretty sure in saying i wont see too many of those around!
