Mercedes 600 Grosser

Just reading throught febuary's Mercedes Enthusiast to find the 600 is 50 years old. managed to find some pictures of one i worked on a few years ago. Just wondering if their are many still out there being used.

Getting the parts to restore one is not the cheapest thing though i believe. Putting them out of the man on the streets budget.

They're starting to fetch north of £100k so I can imagine they're going to be a rarer sight on our roads.

I'd love one, the met red one that sold at auction the back end of '12 was just lovely!

I managed to see a black one with whitewall tyres heading west on the M62 around Huddersfield last summer, being driven in a very stately manner and occupying the middle lane, all other vehicles seemed to gravitate away slightly giving it incredible presence. I was very surprised and pleased I'd seen one just cruising along and one of the very few occasions hogging was deserved. For shame I was in the VW Golf at the time..
