That's quite entertaining. Didn't get what he was on about with the oboes, but persevered - the "Belgian Jazz" was worth waiting for!

He's no Victor Borge though.

Doesn't seem to be able to decide it it's a comedy piece, in which case it's a fail, or an actual guide to the orchestra, with funny bits, in which case it's a fail.

I can vaguely remember Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra and similar, as a kid. This could have been so very good at that. A great education which I don't see some 40 years on.

Or. BB obviously has a talent for spinning out music into different genres. Not quite sure why he does things in French, and with car horns, but THAT's entertaining. So much (and I don't watch it but Mrs Beano does) of today's "light" entertainment contains NO talent and NO merit and NO original element. Bah! Don't get me started!
