Clio 182FF Replacement?
Discussion
Im looking to replace my 182 as ive just become a little bore of the MK2 shape that ive had for a few years
Originally i was going to get an R26 but my current insurers wouldnt touch me so that can wait, i am only 19 with 2 years no claims, insurance is quite reasonable for faster cars now (R32 was 1144 but cant live with 24 mpg lol)
Ideally id like a turbo but there really isnt any decent 182 replacement with a turbo
So far ive tested:
Cooper S Turbo which was nice but didnt really involve you in the drive, and im going to test the supercharged JCW
Civic FN2 was lovely but insurance is a bit silly compared to the EP3
Clio 200 was nice but very light steering made it less enjoyable than the 182
Fiesta ST Mountune 185 BORING!
Ideally would only like to spend 7k but can do more if i have to, What would you recommend? cheers

What about a Punto abarth ss
When I had my 182, I absolutely loved it but I couldn't stop looking at Punto Abarths... beautiful and subtle too. Lovely inside, particularly if you get one with full leather inc dashboard. Not been driven in one and as they're a bit heavier than the 182 (as I understand) may be a different driving experience but certainly worth checking out.Integras a great shout- is the DC5 out of reach? Focus RS mk1?
Anything small and rear wheel drive would be a great step from that (I went from the 306 rallye to exige although I was a bit older).
Insurance on an S2000/ mx5/ S1 elise?
The others you've listed won't feel as good as the 182 in the handling stakes. CLio 182/ trophy is pretty definitive in the front drive/ front engined stakes. Only the Integra is going to take the game on for you.
