Hi All,

Just had an e-mail flyer from Rimmer Bros about a sale of TR7 & TR8 parts (used to use Rimmers during my old TR6 days). May be of use to someone, had a quick look at lighting parts and a few savings to be had.

For a wedge novice like me though, I need to start with what parts on a 350i are TR7 based ?? wink

Any suggestions would be great in case there is a run on stuff

And I don't have any commercial interests in Rimmers, just thought it might be of use to someone

Cheers All

Hidden in Adam Quantrill's "Welcome to the Wedge Forum" is this item on TR7 parts used on Tasmins:

I'm not sure how helpful (or accurate) it is.

Probably the most useful bit from the TR7 is the light pod motors and linkages some of the switch gear as well

i open myself to be corrected, but having had a TR7 and now a 350i the only things i know of are headlights, motors, linkages and switches. i think the steering column shroud and stalks are also shared with TR7 & SD1 but cant think of any others.

i bought some refurbed headlight motors off rimmers.............although case and motor was refurbed, the wiring was old, brittle and plug end must have been original one fitted in 70's!!!! , i was not impressed with it at all and had to change some of the wiring.

nono..Thats a bit naughty...I must be honest some of their bits are a bit of a lib..The brand new headlight switch that i purchased broke within a week..They had a control cable for my heater slider..9 squids second hand + postage..I have found someone who supplies them new for 6..Headlight motors are probably better from robsport international..I havent purchased from them but people who have have been happy..They are a little pricey though...Ziga
