HOTEL BOOKING
Rates have now been agreed with the hotel are £70 per room per night, double/twin B&B and £60 per room per night, single B&B for stays of 2 nights.
We have 30 rooms for Saturday booking only and 45 rooms for 2 night stays. Once the 30 rooms for Saturday have gone then only 2 night bookings will be accepted at the agreed rate or single nights can be booked at the best available rate, assuming rooms are available.
Rooms will be released to the general public on the 23rd May 2012.
To book please call 01789 740000 option 2 then option 1, quoting "Griff Growl". Please ensure you get a booking reference. You are only RESERVING a room and not having to pay until check out so book early – you have been told. DO NOT book via the hotel web site or other booking web site as you will not get the special rates quoted above.
If anyone has to cancel please can you let me know as I can probably get the room reallocated. Any problems please let me know and I'll sort them.
CURRY - FRIDAY NIGHT
The curry will again be at Chutneys in Stratford-upon-Avon as the food is top notch. The cost will be £20 which includes poppadoms and mixed chutneys, mixed starters, any main, and nan or rice and the return coach journey from the hotel. Drink is extra i'm afraid. We'll contact you nearer the time to pre-order the first drink to speed up the serving. Places are limited so please book early as this is extremely popular as anyone who has previously attended will tell you.
Coach will depart the White Horse at 19:00 prompt (so be in the pub at 18:30 to ensure you're there as you'll be buying the first round if not) and will return about 22:30 back to the White Horse which will stay open for us so we can sink a few nightcaps (please make sure I don't have too many). Payment in advance to secure your place(s) as we have to pay the coach up front. To book please contact Paul Bennett (FFG) at paul.bennett@cevalogistics.com
BBQ - SATURDAY NIGHT
The White Horse has changed hands twice since last year but i've been speaking to the new owner and agreed the BBQ package so we're back in the spiritual home. The BBQ will be £10 a head to include food and possibly some entertainment (or is that angry jock?), and will be payable in advance on a first come first served basis as places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. Please contact Paul Bennett (paul.bennett@cevalogistics.com) to book.
BOOKING DEADLINE = 23rd JUNE as I have to pay in advance.
ROLLING ROAD
North London Dyno (ex Crazy Horses) will be running the rolling road again on Saturday and Sunday. Prices are held at £35 a pop with 3 graphs. Slots are 20 minutes between 8.30 and 5 on Saturday and 8.30 and 3 on Sunday. Payment direct to Gary/Baz on the day. You'll need to pre-book a timeslot with FFG (paul.bennett@cevalogistics.com).

BUMP and I thought I'd post this plea here too...
We’d really appreciate your help with the Growl…
The Griff Growl is only 2 weeks away now and we want to offer something for everyone. We know that over the years, it’s become very much a social event but we also know that we all love to drive our cars too !
We’re looking for volunteers to help with a drive out on the Saturday afternoon into the fantastic coutrside around Ettington. There are some great driving roads and viewpoints for photo opportunities in the surrounding area. We really need someone to lead the drive out for us, we’ve already got several routes to choose from depending on how far you want to go. You you can use one of these or you can devise your own. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a Griff at the end of the day, this is a car event for TVRs and TVR enthusiasts and everyone is always welcome.
Please email me if you’d be interested in leading a drive out – we can give you as much or as little support as you need.
Cheers,
Andrea (Mrs FFG)

Paul, you aware the White Horse is for sale again?
Its been sold since last years event and I am in contact with the new owners. Not sure its is up for sale again though? Where did you see this?FFG
I'm hoping to attend the growl for the first time on sat. I don't have a Griffith but hope to sell my Turbo soon which would allow me to buy a Griff. Could someone confirm my assumption that the event will be held in the hotel grounds?
It will be a great opportunity to get a good feel for the cars. See you there!!!!!

Is there going to be anyone selling oil at the Growl this year?
I've got a shopping list and thought I'd phone the suppliers and get them to bring the bits to the Growl but can't see someone who might have oil.
Not this year. Don't think they sell enough to justify attending.I've got a shopping list and thought I'd phone the suppliers and get them to bring the bits to the Growl but can't see someone who might have oil.
