What car again ??

Hi all - I'm soon gonna be looking for a new daily donkey, and I'm after some good suggestions.
It will be doing big miles (40-50k?/year) mostly commuting but some off road/site work.
I would prefer an auto diesel 5-door/estate? and maybe 4 wheel drive and it must be comfy and ultra-reliable.
Price preferably below £30k (new or nearly-new)and the more mpg the better!

Volvo XC70 D5. Über comfy, 4wd, and the D5 is a good lump. Will eat that mileage
