Yes the Sag and both bimmers each have different wheels and winter tyres, makes for safer driving all round and means that when the snow is here we can still get about easily.

I detect a slight note of defence! i'm a proper convert to the use of winter boots, especially having moved to the peak district. our 2 normal vehicles are on winters, and i'm seriously tempted to put the tamora on them for next year.

Looked into this last winter but couldn't find any to fit my (standard) spiders. Ar you on standard sized wheels?

Used to have winter tires on the Griffith for open top motoring in the snow on a sunny winter day.
Workes very well. Best to put two bags of sand in the boot.
But still, you will be one of the slower cars on the road in snow.

Not worth it in my opinion. The cars are just too light, as mentioned couple of bags of sand in the boot should help. Had both the Cerbera and the Tuscan out in the snow, Cerbera was the much better car . Tuscan was just too light at the back end and virtually undrivable.

I was out on winter tyres in the Chimaera yesterday - same issue, not enough weight in the rear, so got stuck on a slight inline getting out of a car park - sheet compacted snow. My A8 Quattro had no such issues on similar tyres this morning.

Your Audi might have been fitted with similar tyres, but the clue to the improved drivability in the snow over the TVR might be in the model of Audi!

True. Nearly a tonne heavier, all four wheels driven, and I could definitely feel the fronts gripping thanks to all the weight over the driving wheels. Just been out in the TVR again....total joy, even if I did just pay full attention when pulling out to hurtle past a line of stationery traffic (well, they were doing about 50, but seemed stationery to me). Roll on my first track day of the season

I put winter tyres on the Tamora for the first time this year. Glad I did as its a lot more stable (no real aquaplaning in the rain) and manages in the snow which would have been impossible before.

Nothing fits on the 18" tyres so splashed out on 16" spiders - this works as you can actually get tyres to fit! Original spiders are pretty well priced.

Just put a note saying that these are standard Tamora lights - we have been debating a new after market kit that has this black line around the lights.....

Sorry if it came across that way wasnt meant to be defensive just my opinion, they make a lot of difference in colder conditions and I wouldnt contemplate not having them on any of my cars these days.

no problem. I have to address the door, roof, window and headlight cover seals before I even think about driving it in wet conditions, let alone winters tyres!

Will not drive the tuscan when there is any salt on the road as the paint on the chassis is poor now we have loads of rain tonight to clear the salt may take it out tomorrow
