Well, first week of Tuscan ownership has gone well (that noise never gets boring does it?), but there are a few little teething problems I'd like to sort.

First of all, the windscreen washer doesn't work. The wipers go but no fluid is forthcoming. Bottle is full, but no noise from the pump. I'm thinking fuse but can't see mention of which one it might be in the manual. Any ideas?

I've also just noticed the hazards don't work either (indicators work fine in isolation), a bit stumped with this one. Again I was thinking fuse but according to the manual they are on the same one as the alarm flashes (which work). Any pointers for where I should look next?

Cheers,

Rich

The washers did not work on mine Richie turned out to be kink in the hose down near the water bottle. I'm not sure which fuse it would be but you can access the water bottle by removing the bonnet, service bonnet and inspection hatch (I also dropped the pepperpot front grill) - all very straight forward. You can then easily check at the two pin plug if your getting power to the pump.
I also thought the switch was knackered for the hazzards however it turned out there was a bit of a knack getting the button to operate (kind of a flick!). I happy to say I've not needed that function yet!!

Hope that might help a little,

Richard

Hi Rich, i have a similar problem with my hazards, they work with the alarm and individual indicators but no hazards unless the ignition is on. Not that this helps you much, but you are not alonebiggrin

Thanks guys.

Developments today, tried to head out for a spin this afternoon to find a flat battery. Sent baffled girlfriend back indoors, got the wheel off, charger on. Sprang back to life. Hazards start flashing. "I wonder how long they're going to flash for?" thinks I. Then I twig, I've left the hazard switch in the "on" position whilst fiddling yesterday evening, and although the lights weren't flashing, it must have been draining the battery!

On the plus side, the hazards now work, and when I jacked it up, washer fluid started gushing from the offside front. Maybe the pumps OK after all?
