As title, I have 2 that I use for petrol but I need them to hold diesel, after the diesel should I rinse them out with a bit of petrol before filling with petrol or will the petrol be ok without the rinse?

OK. Tankers don't get a rinse between loads!

It'll be fine; a trace of diesel in petrol or vice versa wont do any harm at all.
