Yes, that is much neater, I will add it to my 'to do' list (regrettably now about 3 pages long ). Will have to check if CBS have similar connectors to tidy up the old connectors all round the plenum on the S1 Jetronic system.

Coincidentally, I noticed last weekend that one of the wires to my reservoir has detached itself. Is there supposed to be a warning light showing?

I guess mine doesn't work.

Low brake fluid light I believe is an Mot item, and it should also come on when handbrake applied.
Often handbrake light and low fluid light are same bulb (P)/(!) on indicator or similar.

NO warnings with handbrake either. Guess I need to do some investigation!!!!!

Mine was the same - one of the three pins in the cap detatched - You may actually get away with using the other pin - at low fluid level mine connected all three pins together. You can test by pressing in the middle of the cap - this triggers the switch and the warning light should pop up.

A little tip - if it starts to come on occasionally particularly when going round corners check your brake pads - the level drops as they wear so you may find they need replacing.

When you do replace pads when pushing the pistons back in watch the master cylinder level doesn't rise and come out the top - brake fluid is quite an effective paint stripper
