I have recently become obsessed with getting a C63, saloon or estate, PPP or not, LSD or not...it's the noise I have become addicted to. Unfortunately I live in Jersey where the choice of pre-owned is limited to say the least. Our local dealer had a 2008 with 15k miles but I missed out.
I think it would be easier to get from the UK and then a good 2nd hand would be ideal, although I could but new as long as I can get the VAT off (we have to pay 5% vat in jersey).
I am over in the UK for a week in Feb and plan to look at dealers and privately. Having followed the PH forum and loved some of the advice, for the last 4 months, I am reaching out for advice /help in locating a car.
There seem to be a large number out there, so are the dealers open to dealing, is there a big dif in prices between north and south etc.
Any feedback much appreciated.

its expensive getting one in the uk and taking it to jersey, on top of the gst you'll have to pay vrd etc etc, i looked at it, would add about £2-3k to the price of the car.

I looked at that one at Jacksons, but it had something crazy like 6 previous owners. Bell royal motors had a 2009 estate that looked nice, but was a little over priced.

I suppose it might be better getting it in the uk since you'd have choice, but unfortunately it will work out expensive.

-I don't think you can buy new, they'll all direct you to the jersey dealer, your other option may be to buy in europe at rhd spec and take it to jersey.

You can buy new with no problems, providing the dealer understands /can be bothered to deal with the VAT scheme.

South coast mainland dealers worth a shout.

you can save a fortune by avoiding silly options, enough to pay 5% VAT.

I need a c63 coupe with LSD and karman in my life. Are there any good pcp deals at the moment similar to the 0% m3 deal?

Thanks all, help and advice appreciated. A dealer in Birmingham contacted me and is prepared to take the vat off a 'vat qualifying car' as long as all the requirements are met. I had forgotten about VRD, hotjambalya so tax for heads up. I looked at the Bel Royal estate, in fact took it out 3 times, and discovered I probably prefer the 18" wheels for comfort as my initial thought was a very hard ride on our poor roads.
Is there any Vat on a 2nd hand car? Does anyone know?
Looking at all the other threads, for me the sound is everything, and that's the reason why a C63 OMG beats an M3 and a Lexus or RS4 - all lovely cars but only really 'on song' at 70% and in the CI that means speeds that will get you banned. The C63 sounds great at 10mph, and I found myself slowing down to let traffic in just so I could hear that sound. ( I wish they did a c class convertible!)

Hi

If you're interested in second hand I may be able to help, I have a 10 plate estate in silver which I have only managed to put 1500 miles on the 10 months I've owned it, entirely due to working in Iraq and not getting back to the UK.

It has always been looked after by a high end car storage company, is currently SORN and has just had a full professional detail, rims refurbed and new tyres being fitted this week, just so it is perfect ready to sell. It'll be going up for around £34k, which would make it extremely well priced looking at the classifieds.

Let me know if you're interested.
