riding in snow

Well I had a day off yesterday and went up Box Hill on my single speed - 48x17 with MichelinPro Race 3s! Compacted snow & ice all the way - quite a test in balance as your rear wheel is out to the side and the front is fighting furrows - only fell off once but good to get out. With these temps probably like it for a few days to come....

I've never done box hill but if you're doing it on 48x17 should i even bother? Or do you have legs of steel?

Been looking. It's 735 foot high from sea level and 411ft from the bottom to the top, 1.6 miles at 5% according to Strava.

So not that steep and not that long, still a challenge in the snow, but not much of one in the summer.

Ah I always thought it was steeper, like my local bad boy Kidds Hill.
