Currently do 500 miles per week. With parking contract it comes to £400 per month. I don't like the cost, early starts to miss the traffic, the fact I can't buy a 645Ci with a V8, general tiredness.

Found a guy at work who does similar journey on the train. The ticket is £350 per month. He doesn't like the cost, fixed journey times, delays, cancellations and smelly people.

We've agreed to trial car sharing next week. I will do the first week.
We're both normal blokes (he may even be on here?) who work for the same place. We'd both rather not share, but £200 per month pays for a lot, plus less M56 is pretty compelling.

So PH, hints, tips and opinions please?

It depends on the people.

If you (or him) are someone who says they'll be ready for 7:30 and isn't ready until 7:35 a few times a week little things like that can start to really annoy you.

I used to lift share, I hated the lack of freedom it gave me going to/from work and all the hassle of holidays and driving with your passenger in mind etc etc.

Sounds like a win win situation.
My tip is not to pull into a lay by should he ever suggest it.

I must admit, differences in driving styles is something I had been thinking about.

What if my PH approved driving style meets his general public style. There'd be trouble thats what.
He doesn't have an Audi though.

Worringly, after 'that' thread, I did google [dogging + my town].
Turns out the place I sit and eat my Maccys is a known hot spot! Who'd a thunked it?
I think a 'hands visible' policy might be prudent for the car share.
