Need new tyres for the Porka. It's an 89 Targa. My friendly local dealer insists that they need to be N1 rated for Porsche. Anyone care to shed light on this?
N ratings are just porsche approved tyres. Allegedly the only ones that are good enough for their precious creations. Generally, if it costs more than £60, it'll be fairly decent. No laws broken if non N rated tryres are fitted.
I seem to have a crazy idea that N rated tyres were not introduced until way after 89 and only available on 17" and up rubber? I guess many on this forum will know if this is true
