I've an average set up hifi wise, linked in to my AV system...

monitor audio silver 5i's, roksan kandy 111 amp....... av is yamaha v765 runnning staight through fronts to the hifi system....

do I want a yamaha dock, which gives the potential of streaming videos to tv via the yamaha (option as i've never really videoed anything in all my years of having an iphone (probaly about 5-6 years now).. or a dedicated dock to roksan...

what is good out there, looking for good sound from what I know is poor quality, yet hassle free music for enteratining (parties/ladies/lads nights) (I am 43 not 18)....

I have a bunch of these spare, I bought them as a job lot for projects.

They are excellent as you can dock the phone/pod (older connector) and then search and control it from the remote, it even shows you the menus on the LCD display.

Let me know if your interested, there is a deal to be had to get shot of them.

i have the same av receiever in one room and an onkyio in the other, i just use a cable to connect the two receivers and whilst that means i cant use a remote, when i put the ipod in i tend to leave it on a playlist. also this cable fits most other mp3 players. the yamaha dock doesnt get a paticularly good write up and isnt cheap, so i think the only reason to buy it is for neatness and blue tooth remote duties.
