Not what I expected, but it keeps going up, which is pretty impressive!

not headline figures, but not exactly what you could call a torque curve!!!

Oh, I'm looking forward to watching this one develop!!!

"Error". Not what I expected either. Do we HAVE to register to view the board??

F**k that. I refuse to subscribe to sites that require me to register just to look at them.

Cant wait to see the dyno run after the big job...
800bhp@6000rpm - here I come.... watch this space!

The chaps told me that I had toooo much oil in her and they had to take out 3 litres!!!!!
Man, I really dont trust that dip-stick...
I wander if they can put something on that lets me see the oil level in the cockpit... mmmm....

Still won't fill in all my details to register and see the graph.

If you've got an "oil-level in the cockpit", you've got a problem!

Like the others I won't register out of principle, can you tell us in plain English what the graphs are showing then. I assume this is all pre strip down figures .

Think it's called the "allow unregistered users" button. Oh, wait, you mean the car. Erm, hmmm... could have the entire engine fashioned out of some form of transparent acrylic or something - let you see where the engine is? If you switch it for a Tuscan (/racer) style dry sump, you might be able to do something a fair bit nattier. You could REALLY throw it into corners, etc. then, too...

As for the graph... any chance of putting it on somewhere like fotango, or just giving us a direct link to the pic?

The other half has enabled it - it was an option that said "Login Required"... I thought it was relevant to anonymous postings...

www.projectphoenix.xt7.net/

anyway should be able to go straight into the link now.

Much better now.

Torque curve seems a bit unlikely.

What do you mean 'unlikely'?
isnt that pretty standard?

Not IME.

Torque curves usually peak at around 3000 rpm (depends on the engine size, NA vs turbo, etc.) then tail off.

The torque and power curves are also suspiciously straight (some extrapolation going on?)

Probably the filtering on the RR system, Cerbs normally have more dips and holes in their graphs than the Somme .
Re the actual figures though, not as unual as you might think, apparently theres a fair few with quiet a lot less than that out there .

I don't know much about this sort of stuff but all the cerb curves I've seen are nowhere near as smooth as that one. Where's the camel humps??

Torque curve does look very, erm, unlike a "curve" above 3500 RPM... Could've drawn that with a ruler. Peak BHP seems fairly average/expected. Personally quite surprised torque never gets over 270lb/ft or so.

No camel humps whatsoever... the power has always been smooth with no hesitation anywhere in the rev range... maybe it was joo's airbox mod that smooth'd it out.. god knows...

Chaps, why would anyone fake a dyno run???? it was done 4 times... and the results were the same each time... 1bhp out here and there...
so maybe thats why I always felt she was quicker than the others I've driven... the torque was the key?

I'm sure if you check the graph using power/torque*5250 equation (can't remember it exactly) you can verify if its true or drawn .
Yhe torque is a bit like an RV8 one but shifted up the rev rnage a bit. Well it would if you close your eyes and squint a bit whilst standing on your head........maybe .
