So, browsing classifieds and eBay using the term 'px' as you do..

Came across this..

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RUSTY-RAT-VW-BEETLE-BUG-...

Advert is a bit rubbish, not sure I get the trend of making it look like it belongs in a scrap dealer..

Thoughts?

It's a really bad attempt at ratting a car

Is that an actual paint job or has that been paintstripped and given a salt solution? Ive seen a few key examples of the rusty look and it was superb, but that looks like donkey ste.

According to the hipsters in Performance VW, the rat look died years ago...

...as I am not young and cool, I never noticed smile

There's not much you can do to improve the looks of that car.

I like it............sorry guys, I'll get my coat on the way out.

Put it on some black steel wheels, lower it a bit and I'd drive that for a laugh, certainly rather drive it like this than standard.

I recall the Audi estate that was in the classifieds on here not so long ago that had been "rat looked" by the VW crew. Paint strippered and rusted like that but it had been "done properly, sealed with engine oil afterwards" rolleyes

Not sure which I detest more, this type of thing, or trying to call a stickerbombed st box with cut springs rat.

Whilst it doesn't really suit the age of the car, and the fact quite a lot of it is plastic I think? I'd imagine its a wrap, or a very well done spray job which could not have been cheap.

Nope.

Rat.

The whole point is to not pay any attention to the paint falling off. Not spend hours and thousands of pounds carefully making the paint fall off.

One of those is disgusting, filthy, useless and a blight on society. The other one is a rat.
