Hi all,

New to the Pistonheads forum and wanted to get some feedback on my ad for my 993 C2...

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

Any thoughts would be welcome - and what I could get next (if I can sell it) for everyday / track day use - thinking Cayman S?

Thanks and looking forward gassing.

Benjarmin

Also to my car history - another Z3M Coupe is very tempting...

Why did the engine need a full rebuild? That's a pretty rare occurrence on a 993.

It's a Tip, which will put the majority of buyers off, but the ad seems fine and it's a good price, so hang on in there.

Tip buyers are few, but the ones who want them usually know what they want and won't mess you about. Hopefully!

Here's a little video i did based on my tip-selling experience:

I would say, that's a fair price. Most of the 993 problems sorted. To be picky, maybe clean up the engine bay, and upload a new pic, Back to Black etc. good Luck.

Pah! Back to black is so last century. wink

Aerospace 303 is where it's at.

Agree though, comes across as a nice straight car, just give the bay a clean if you're worried but it wouldn't really put me off. Things like that are enjoyable to do once I've got the car home. That way you appreciate the difference.

Thanks Pickled Piper, Molleytherocker, 993Kimbo, Rallyeman - appreciate the comments.

Agree on the small market for Tips - I bought it as an affordable way into 993 ownership with all manuals in my price range being out of reach.

Engine bay will get a steam clean on the next dry weekend - if we get one.

Molleyrocker - the engine was rebuilt after a failure that resulted in the cylinders being scored -hence the full, from the bottom up, rebuild. I don't know what the cause of that failure was.

Thanks again,

Benjarmin

Reedman I'm not sure whether to laugh :-) or cry :-( !!!

It is so true...

I remember selling my old Z3M Coupe and buyer saying six owners was too many - I said when you buy one and take it out in the wet you'll see why they all have so many owners wink

Lol! I bought a can of that 303 recently. £16 bl00dly quid, really couldn't see, the difference between that and Autoglym Exterior Trim Restorer at half the price frown
