As the title says really, they seem to have quite a good stock list and i am after an earlish AMV8.

Still very much open to spec options choices, coming from a Porsche background i dont know a great deal about these cars, but spec variance seems quite low.

Many thanks

Indeed. This is an 'AMV8' smile

Fair to say you're after a 2005 onwards V8 Vantage?

You're a candidate for Grant's book on the sticky at the top of the page. It will give you more correct information than any indivdual poster will come up with on here.

But yes, most spec is similar... HIDs, heated seats, cruise. Make sure it has the upgraded stereo option. And it will be grey with black leather probably. They all are...

Mines not. Apparently, (so B.R tells me) mine is one of only six california sage green Vantages in the country. And you're right, it is definitely, without question, the best colour ever to grace the Vantage.

Ah, right, apologies for falling into what i imagine is quite a common nomenclature error.

So, as for my question, anyone any experience of the garage in question, or indeed any comment on their Vantage V8s for sale?

Not dealt with the garage Gibbon, but the cars look ok. I'd dig into the service history a bit more, and probably get them inspected by an expert before proceeding unless the service history is absolutely spot on. New clutch is a bonus, keep an eye on the paintwork (wing mirror arms, door handles and wheel arches) and check obvious brakes and tyres, as they're quite costly. You're from a Porsche background so servicing will be similar I'd imagine. Get Grants book, only £20, well worth it. M

18mths have now passed since this thread was started. Looks like they have good number of Astons available. Does anyone have any experience of Broadoak, or indeed, know this car:

Milage looks a bit high for the price but I am probably in a minority that likes the interior so maybe there is a deal that can be done. Car's last two services were at Rikki Cann.

I love the interior too - that looks fantastic.

Whilst the mileage seems a little high, we are talking about an 8 year old car, so not huge mileage considering that these cars can easily be daily drivers.

The spec looks great too - I imagine this car was ordered and used as a daily driver at some point and with a good service history, looks like a good deal.

I thought my Chancellor Red interior was bright but with that interior you would feel like you had been tangoed

I contacted Broadoak a couple of years ago when I was looking for my V8V. They always had lots of V8Vs listed on their site but whenever I called, they had always 'just been sold'. I gave up asking in the end because I just seemed to be wasting my time.

And a 'baby st brown' interior is certainly an acquired taste and one of the least desirable interior options.

They do currently have more listed as sold than available but that is an old trick. I ignore those and also whatever price they are listed at.

As for the interior, hopefully it is a little less orange in the flesh.

Have you actually spoken to anybody about the car that you are interesting in?

IIRC, 'they' are a one man band.

Briefly via email on Thu to enquire about Service History only to get a reply that they had left the office for the day and would be opening again Tue. And so I wait.....

Sounds like the same run-around that I got.
