Hi,

Sorry, its a boring car, you all complain about them in the various Audi bashing threads and you see them everywhere!! Did have a different thread, tried to delete it but failed.. :/

Some recent pictures, 2009 Audi A3 2.0 TDi 170

Kinda boring car and looks like every other Audi on the road from the front.. A3/4/6!! Want to change it up a little, personalise it.. considering wheel colour change or wheel change, perhaps to something darker? Need to de-badge the boot lid as well, I think they are just glued on, the A3 and the 2.0 TDi one?

Also thinking about the navigation system in the dash, retro fitting cruise and auto-dip mirrors.

Am the second owner but can't help thinking why its missing things like auto-dip mirrors and cruise control, can't understand why the first owner didn't spec this stuff?!

Thanks for looking..

Looks tidy. I drive a 2.0T 8P. My cars first owner was the son of an American banker who used the car 'whilst at uni in the UK'. Knightsbridge address, the lot. Obviously wasn't short of cash and specced the car with everything except the nav and auto mirrors. Always wondered why not have them! Oh we'll Audi sat navs are S**t anyway. Nice car though! I'd advise de-badging!

1st owner probably didn't spec those extras as they couldn't afford them at the time??
(and I would imagine the options price list for Audi can get a bit pricey indeed!)

And who needs cruise control on a family shopping car? In a big, automatic autobahn cruiser, maybe.

Kinda stupid thing to say..

Cruise control for anyone that wishes to maintain a constant speed, I drove from Cornwall to West Sussex and back on Saturday.. A30, M5, M4 etc..

Having cruise would have been perfect!

Cruise control is one thing I would never go without if possible. Doesn't matter what car.

Nice car OP.

Exactly. Cruise control is lazier than having an auto whilst still having the use of both legs

Not a stupid thing to say in any way

If the previous owner did little no motor way driving and was mostly localised why would you bother speccing cruise control which as others have said won't have been cheap

Cruise is a nice option on these, easy to retrofit.

Yup, £50 for the stalk, 20 mins of your time & access to VCDS.

Easy peasy.

absolutely. I don't know how much cruise control would have cost, but if I was buying a car and doing little motorway driving, why would I spec and pay for it!! why is that a kinda stupid thing to say?

Stupid thing to say as you instantly assumed that this car only does short trips to the shop, obviously cant go on a motorway as its not a company directors luxo-barge!

The car clocked up 60,000 in its first two years.. full Audi main dealer history, rear seats and passenger seat look brand new, as does the carpets, gearknob, steering wheel.

Wheels are immaculate, bodywork is except for bonnet, bumper and windscreen stone chips.

Originally registered in Reading.

Lets assume its been up and down a motorway a few times...
