This has been doing the rounds on FaceBoob:

Very clever - but does anyone know if its a real advert or just one knocked up by an RUF fan? It seems odd that there is no higher res version of it than 640x400

Can I be the first one to say "I don't get it"?

I think its saying.
"I have all these fancy cars but the only one I use is the RUF thats why all the rest are manky and sitting in the barn".

They're all supercars, in a junk yard.

The implication being the Ruf renders supercars useless.

Are they meant to be saying that people are scrapping their cars and buying RUF?

Not overly clever though if it needs explaining

Either that or it expired before making it that far? Like backwards into a deep lake or something.

The implication that Ruf just "Jazz" up Porsche's is all that Ruf says to me but WTFDIK?

They do an awful lot more than just "jazz them up".

They do engine upgrades, of course, but the actual Ruf cars have Ruf chassis numbers and are very different cars

Nice bit of 3D photoshoppery - not overly clever though.

Is the tractor a subtle dig too?

Presumably the kind of person that can afford a RUF can probably work out the meaning of that advert (it's not hard, or at least I didn't think so...)

Yes the RUF cars are but how often do you see them? It's mainly the engine upgrades and remaps etc. I like what they do but a very niche market with limited following. It amazes me that the likes of GTBoard.com claim that as a real car with 0-200kph times etc, they may as well stick the severn valley tuned GT-R in the list too!

Rubbish advert, this is a very clever advert imo that requires no explanation

It's abundantly clear what point it's making!

Perhaps Ruf are trying to vet their clientele using this advert as a kind of IQ test

I have no idea what a ruf is but if I had a choice of any vehicle from that pic it would be the tractor.

Quite funny seeing a Murcielago next to a Hillman Imp in a scrappy though.... wink
