I keep noticing how close people pull up behind me in traffic.

You are supposed to leave a gap big enough to see the tyres and a bit of tarmac behind the car in front.

I've also edged forward a couple of inches whilst sitting at level crossings and the car behind moves the same amount, I've repeated that a couple of times and same again even tough they can see the red lights and barrier smile

I've had a look and I don't appear to be towing a big arsed magnet smile

Anyone else noticed this phenomenom?

Quite common to get people gesturing to me to move forwards in traffic when the car in front moves a few meters then stops again. I prefer to wear the clutch out as little as possible personally...

If you're stopped behind an SUV in the Elise, you can have your nose practically under their rear bumper and still be able to see where the wheels touch the road. hehe

I often just sit there in a queue when the car in front shuffles forwards, and I don't think I've ever been honked at for it?

Yep and also noticed people getting flashed/honked for taking a casual approach to moving up the queue.

I just think there are lot of hyperactive people out there who can't stay still for a second.

I'd have thought you would opt for parking under the SUV given the propensity for a leaking roof wink

It doesn't even need to be an SUV, to be honest:

Ooops!

New clamshell, or a bit of vigorous mopping?
