TVR compact disc
Discussion
I’m suffering from engine sound addiction and it is so bad that I have the following TVRs professionally recorded:
1. Grantura
2. Vixen
3. Griffith V6
4. 2500 M
5. 3000 M
6. 5000 M
7. 3000 S turbo
8. Tasmin 280i
9. 350i
10. 450 SEAC
11. S 2 Compr. (Retrofit)
12. S 3
13. S V8
14. Chimaera
15. Cerbera 4.2
16. Griffith 500
17. Tuscan 4.0
18. Tamora
19. T350c
20. T440
21. Sagaris (Stationary)
Is there someone with a TVR not in the list, which would like to get it recorded?
With the collection of cars as it is, would someone be interested in a copy?
If more than a handful, they would have to be retailed through TVRCC. I can’t make 250 CD’s or so, at home on my computer...
Cheers Hans

you also might want to get over to sleep fish.
I posted a video there of my tuscan a few weeks ago when I took the cats off it.

Likewise, there's a short clip of a CCC-canned, de-catted, RR Tusc on there of mine. You're welcome to stuff a mic. up the exhaust and get a quality recording if you want, though.

How much of the engine have you recorded?
Just a blip on the throttle or 5 minute drives with the full range?
'ave a listen. there is a 2 minute clip there of me over taking some stuff banging up to the red line. The full version is about 15 minutes...
As James says, his is on there too videoed from side of road (mine is in car).
my sound is not professional, and lots of wind noise, but still sounds good. If you want the full version you can grab it from my server:

Typical recording layout is: Roadside microfone, start up and take off, driving through a tight corner (downshift and acceleration), coming back and shut off. A few tracks have in car recording too. Track length is normally just over a minute. I estimate that total length of all the tracks will be about 30 minutes.
If someone has a big valve, pre cat Griff, as mentioned, I would be happy to record it or have it recorded by a friend in Blackpool. Then that car would replace the currently recorded newer Griff. Other cars that stand out from the crowd are also interesting but I will not fill the CD with cars that are too close to each other. For instance, with a loud 350i and a 450 SEAC recorded, there is no point in recording a 4-litre wedge also.
