cayenne battery replacement

Evening,
Thinking about changing the battery in my Cayenne, as not sure how old it is and doesn't seem that strong when starting the car.
What have people been fitting, if outside of OPC warranty?
Was looking at the Bosch range with 5yr warranty, model S5 020 110amps. This looks physically larger than a standard battery so any ideas if it will fit under the seat?
Any pointers on deals or discounts?

I fitted the Bosch S5 in mine, I don't remember it being a different size to the one I removed. It fits, which is the important bit.
You do need to make sure you have the correct torx bit to remove the seat mounting though, as it's a slightly unusual one - Triple Square I think it's called.

I put the HSB020 in mine on Monday - fits perfectly.
In fact, it was the same size as the Varta that was in there, which made the HSB019 I originally planned to put in look too small.
Might be worth checking the voltage on your old one. I did - and at 11.9v it convinced me I needed to replace.
ETA : My old one didn't sound that strong when starting the car - the new one doesn't sound that much livelier, so definitely worth checking voltage I think. Yours might be better than you think.

Just to add to this, I saw the posts above today and picked up a Bosch HSB020 for my Cayenne Turbo, even though the Halfords website stated that I needed the smaller HSB019.
It fit perfectly and so far is performing brilliantly. A noticable difference in cranking speed, which I guess shows what bad shape the old one was in. Deffo recommend this for your CTT. Was a bit pricey (£160 from Halfords - Apr 2013), but worth it, I feel.

Hello, I have just purchased the Bosch S5 020 battery for my 2004 Cayman and the battery is longer than the existing Varta. The battery is located by a foothold at the front and side so the extra length is all at the back causing the +ive cable not to reach the battery post by about 3 cm!
Did anyone else have this problem? I guess, other than change back to an 019 size, I could see if I can either:
a: move it further forward by discarding the front clamp and cutting out the foot hold, or
b: buy a longer +ive cable
I wonder if different variants might have longer battery cables?

+ 1 for the Bosch S5. It was the same size as the battery which I removed.
I would not go for any other sort of smaller or cheaper compromise. Why? I was sold the incorrect battery for my RR TD6 twice. It gave me all sorts of electrical gremlins like no lights, gauges, speedo etc, etc and the sat nave & radio display were in German! So personally for something like the Cayenne it pays to get a decent one.
Euro do them for around £160, I phoned to check if my local branch had one and they discounted it to £135, result.
I have got the unusual Torx socket for removing the seat. Can post up details if anyone needs it.

It is just over an inch longer than the previous 019 sized varta. It fits neatly but the extra length meant the +ive cable wouldn't reach the post on the battery.
So, I have removed the cover that hides the electrical components next to the battery to reveal where the other end +ive cable bolts on to a +ive flat steel connector strip. I have bolted in a simple extension strip that moves the mounting for the +ive battery lead nearer the insulated side of the tray and hence allows the +ive lead to reach the +ive battery post.
It's all very neat!
