Hi all,
So after a few years hanging round the film end of camera shops I finally upgraded to a Nikon D600 over Christmas. Which means I have now entered the world of white balance, RAW and digital workflows. Previously my PP work was mostly scan, crop, dust removal and maybe contrast or colour tweaks. So now I have started using Lightroom and I have all these sliders and adjustments and I'm not sure if I'm heading the right way.

So here are a couple of images from a family afternoon walkabout last week.

Really what I want to know is, did I go too far, not far enough? anything else i should look out for?

Very nice! Maybe a little heavy on the clarity / sharpening on the second one, but it's all subjective and those should be applied to suit whatever size you're viewing the image at.

You're doing fine, and the D600 is a nice camera.

Thanks, how did you spot the heavy sharpening on the second one? what gives it away? I know not to over sharpen to avoid halos etc but the clarity one is trickier, its tempting to crank it up!

D600 is amazing and I get to use all my old Nikon film lenses.
