Hello, first time posting in this particular forum...
How long does whiplash last?
On the first of december i was involved in a car crash. We turned over and the car landed on it's roof on my side. I was the front seat passenger on account of the fact i had had 3 pints, so my wife was driving.
The pain started just as i left casualty, about four hours after the accident.
I went to the doctors the next day and he diagnosed "A whiplash injury" and signed me off work for two weeks. Following that two weeks i went back to work on light duties for a couple of days and then took a weeks holiday.
I expected to feel better at the end of the holiday but i didn't, so after a couple of days i went back to the doctors and got a sick note for light duties. After a couple of days it was obvious that i couldn't work, because there isn't anything that be considered as light duties in my job. So i have been sent home until i am well...
It is now nearly two months since the acciddent and my neck still hurts, sometimes a fair bit and sometimes less, but it is always there.
Also when i move my neck there is a substantial amount of crunching going on.
I have been to the Physiotherapist twice and i am doing the excercises recommended also i am booked in for a scan, i am just waiting for that to come through. I must admit ithought i would be fine and back to work now, i am getting a little fed up.
Anyone got any answers?
