I am trying to think of a name for a website that will be giving advice on what to do when you have Cancer.

A very practical book is currently being written (not by me) that covers what happen when you are affected and the decisions you will need to make. One of the authors had cancer and so has personal experience, the other is a professional writer. They are also interviewing Doctors, medical experts and others involved in this field. The book is going to be great (I have seen the first two chapters) just needs a name.

We really like the name and style of LiveStrong.org in spite of Lance's current troubles. Something like that would be perfect.

Would be great if -

It had the .com available
Shouldn't include the word 'cancer'
Was short (under 15 letters)
Could also get the same twitter, facebook and youtube names

A great search tool to get searching - http://instantdomainsearch.com

The site is more about what to do once you have a diagnosis and what to do next.

Would work really well if it was 'just' someone talking about having Cancer. The book will be much more than that.

Why a .com?

If it is a UK book (and if the website is aimed at the UK) then get a .co.uk

We really do need a .com name as it will be for a world-wide audience. Unfortunately Cancer affects people from all over the globe and it is getting worse.

The idea is that the book should reach as many people as possible, so it can do as much good as possible.

The ultimate goal is to be able to make sure everyone who could use the book has access to it. This might mean giving copies away, or downloading or sponsorship in some way. This is still being worked out.

Thankfully it is becoming cheaper to translate text into multiple languages, while being digital speeds everything up no end. This will be hugely helpful but it is still going to be hard getting the word out once the book is finished.
