From an underground car park in LHR T5 to Silverstone - stop to stop (not just the cruising figure). Now the car is run in the economy has really picked up!

Not bad, but I've seen 38.4 on mine coming back from Silverstone. Mine's a 3.4 Cab though (PDK). Keep trying OT.

This is true. Every car I've owned with an MPG guage always states that I'm doing more MPG than I'm actually doing. My Touareg often shows an MPG average circa 32MPG, but the brim to brim figure is nearer 28MPG!

Yes it is a diesel Carrera S

Of course I would never get that brim to brim as I do a lot of mixed driving - it was an indication that 911s ain't what they used to be and Porsche are taking economy seriously.

Or maybe I am just deluded rolleyes

At 2,600 now. This was a cruise really at general traffic speed. There is no doubt the economy has improved over the last 500 miles.

This was two up with a weeks luggage and shopping from Vegas smile

Great figures Old Trout...

I've got a picture from my GT3.2 from London to Teesside, 248 miles, 23.4mpg in 3.12 minutes, I thought that was very reasonable.

Cheers
Lewy

What I find baffling is that you made that journey in such good time. Was this 3 am?

I don't think we're worried about MPG; just amazed.

Best not to believe the computer in my experience - tends to err on the optimistic side!
