Those Bosch pumps are about 115 each trade ... plus a couple of filters .. its the connectors that are the must get part .. rest of it is off the shelf Jonny.

Yes I was particularly interested in the connections as we run two 044's in parallel, and it is a little bit of a maze of hoses at the moment, not to mention a multitude of connections that this system would potentially eliminate.

I quite like this as a safety feature. The ECU should cut fuel when the engine stops, but there's nothing to stop fuel pumping if a line is broken or comes loose.

Automatic fuel shut-off valve

This valve has been constructed especially to fulfil the regulations about identifying damages in fuel lines. The decisive points in construction has been: high flow at low pressure loss, compact and light body construction, high reliability and independency from other components.

Function:

At a pressure drop below 3 bar in the fuel discharge line the valve interrupts fuel supply; an electrical supply is not necessary. The pressure built-up is made by an internal bypass bore and can be accelerated by hand if necessary (for example when the fuel line is empty).

I get the impression from looking at the catalogue that we may need an extra sponsor or three in order to get some of this stuff on the car!

Not sure how true it is, but I was told by someone that the bosch 044's need a large inlet pipe otherwise they can cavitate. Therefore I run -10 on the suction side of my 044.

Yes Eliot very true especially as fuel warms up!
Tech is around to run speed controlled pumps which maintain the correct pressure in the system. SImilar systems now in use in big power production cars.
Fuelab have a system
