Currently looking at the option of hiring the ring for half a day for a closed track session, i.e no public on track but full trackside safety equipment and marshaling. Up to now have about 20 interested and looking to get around 30 to 35 cars max to make it viable. It won't be cheap but then you wont have to contend with tour buses and motorbikes etc on the track at the same time. If you are interested let me know.

Yes I would be interested in this. Obviously depending on both cost an dates.

Thanks

The same here - would prefer a full day though to make the travel worthwhile.

Good luck with sorting it but why not just go on a track day?

Given that the ring can take 150 cars on it at one time I'd be impressed if you could make it viable with just 30-35 booked on!

We've been trying for a couple of years to get a private day, but despite the £30k+ price (self-imposed 50-60 car limit) we've never managed to get a date.

The first refusal goes to the race organisers, then manufacturer pool, then individual manufacturers, then track day companies (those with good history get priority), then public days and then finally they'll offer it to those on the waiting list.

...or something like that!

OP - Sounds like a great idea - let me know how you get on.

Mmm-five, I've heard it said each free day they have they could sell ten time over.

If it was the case they would simply increase the price to re-balance supply and demand and maximise profitability.

I don't understand what this is going to offer that a regular trackday there isn't going to?

The Destination Nurburgring trackdays are just fabulous. Slick, professionally run and with fun atmosphere and some great people and cars.

What will your idea offer?

Less track time and be much more expensive??

What am I missing?
