Windscreen wipers are not coming on when either button pressed, intermittant fault.
Does this mean the buttons are failing ?
Or wiper motor ?

Check the connector at the baclk of the motor, could be water ingress.

It could be the ribbon cable connecting the steering wheel buttons to the rest of the control circuit. Do the full beam and horn buttons work? Try turning the steering wheel as you press the wiper buttons.

It's relatively easy to replace/repair the ribbon cable.

I'd check the cabling around the steering wheel first. Had no end of gremlins one week when one of the connectors around there came loose. Took the whole of 10 seconds to fix once I'd figured out what it was!

mine does exactly this, in fact it's done it for the last 10 months... I'm now inspired to check my cable connections

Still taking any further suggestions, please

Have checked ribbon cable, and even swopped the Steering Wheel Functional Control box for another, no change.
Checked all fuses also, all ok
Wipers work occasionally, so intermittant fault !
the worst ?

i have similar problem except the wiper do come on and then stop at the other side of the windscreen (that's on intermittent) but they do work on speeds 2 and 3 but they appear to be the same speed. i have been told by the local garage it could be the motor 'cos from time to time it blows the fuse. so far though we haven't found a compatible motor.

Mine did that . I found a bit of fairy liquid on the wiper rubbers and then a splash of water on the windscreen worked wonders - they have never got stuck since. Try this before you go buying new motors and things

Apologies if you've already done this but have you actually removed the steering wheel from its boss and inspected the ribbon cable carefully at its ends. Mine looked OK but the conductors had fractured from repeated kinking as the wheel was turned.

Is the earth to the steering wheel function black box OK?

Removing the wheel isn't difficult with the appropriate allen key and socket. You'll find several metres of 10-way pink computer ribbon coiled up in the hub of the wheel. I'm sure you'll find it damaged at the connector end where it folds back on itself.

Always worth covering cerbera screen in rain repelling stuff (rain x) as wipers are crock of pooh.
I found that I could actually drive without wipers on when using rain x !

My wipers park where they want. and i pulse the wash button until they are out of view. Cant seem to find the cause though. anyone got any ideas

for now Ive now used repcon (aviation rainex) on the windshield and hardly ever use the wipers, except when stationary.

I think there is a wiper parking switch built into the motor which sounds like it might be faulty or the terminals corroded. I've never had that fault so can't comment from personal experience.

The wiper motors used on Cerberas are Mini ones, real ones not BMW ones!

These park switches go all the time on Mini's you can buy them from www.minispares.com for about £10 including postage, and they're easy to fit.

Can you give anymore details on how to fit a new park switch - mine do exactly the same i.e. stop at random places. Frustrating when the intermittent wipe is the only one that I use.

That would have been far to simple and only taken half an hour. Its just not the TVR/Cerbera way.
Everything must take twice as long and be twice as difficult as on any other car. its just something im getting used to and forgot all about simplicity.
