Broken Golf and...
Discussion
what a reliable diesel everyday car?
So 2.5 years ago i bought a mk4 110 Golf and since the first day i owned it the clutch went, changed disc, flywheel and pressure plate and today after a 50 mile trip the clutch completely went again.
the first time i changed all for 500 £ to a indy the prev owner of the car knew,as he paid 90% of the repair.
Today a VW indy (private) opened it and said that the parts were badly fitted in the first place and even a bolt he removed was broken and than glued to fit again in.He said he will change the disc, flywheel and pressure plate for 630 £,im thinking to do it and than sell the car,as he said more expensive parts on it need changing on a shorter time, after 13 years the POS is falling to bits and i don't want to spend more on it.
What should i do? Keep it or sell it? And what other car similar age, Golf size ,diesel will be better more importantly reliability wise?
