chassis nr?

Hi,
any idea where to find chassinr on a 1986'-350i wedge chassis RHD,
chassis is well waxed and I can't seem to find it?

Hi Mate...It should be on your V5 registration document..Cant remember if its on the data plate on top of the N/S wheel arch?...Ziga

Just found a pic..The chassis number should be on yours..

on this plate chassisnr is ok,but is not supose to be on
the chassis(tubes)as well?

I read that its on metal plate to top of tubular chassis (below alternator)..Although im not 100% sure...ziga

The chassis num is on the front suspension upright (Inboard) here the pic from the prev post!

On my car it's stamped into the rear face of that upright, like this:

otherwise had to clean half off the chassis,a waste off good wax!!

found chassisnr yesterday,it was covered with some paint and a layer off wax,
after cleaning it was clear for MOT,
so far no rust discovered on the chassis,
