My son has some issue with xbox live and wondered if anyone else has this and rectified it.

I've googled and done port forwarding, but it seems not to have solved the problem.

The problem is when he is in a party, party members seem to drop out for no reason and he has to re invite them. Anyone had similar issue and found a solution for it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

G

Happens to me occasionally, it quite often says that people have left the party even when they haven't. No idea why it does it. He could try getting someone else to host if it happens again, that might cure it.

Yup, get someone else to host the party. My connection does the same if I'm hosting, haven't noticed it happening when others are the host. I reckon it's something to do with the settings on my router.

It's a bit complicated (I am sure Google can explain better than I can), but I believe there is no such thing as hosting a complete party yourself?

One person starts a party and can have another 1 or 2 people join, if a couple more people join, it then uses someone elses connection and links it up with the original party. It's like a daisy chain effort with seperate parties all linking together, IIRC?

One person will not be hosting a full up room.

So, one weak link and it goes pop frown

Common issue, had it a few times and seems to be down to latency, so short of finding the weak link, it is an issue that will keep happening frown It could also be a couple of his friends conflicting with each other, does it only happen when certain people get in the party together?
