Hi need some advice of a knowledgable member. Trying to sell my MX5. Its very well priced and well looked after but not one call frown
I know its not the right time to sell. I realise I can't link to it but please PM me if anyone is able to help re: pricing and advertising strategy and I will give them the details for some advice.

Have you got it advertised on here, Mx5Nutz and MX5OC?

I don't think there is much point saying "no dreaded sill rust" then having a photo showing bubbles of rust on the sills under the stone chip protection.

The arches look rusty...but it might just be mud.

The spare is missing and I've never seen the boot lid rust so bad.

It is priced reasonably cheap I'll grant you. I can't see anyone choosing it as a cheap fun car at this time of year though.

They'd probably stretch to this http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...

As above really, it's high enough mileage to scare people off even though it doesn't matter, has had a truly horrible sill repair which is already starting to go again and for some reason has resulted in black stonechip all over the place, and it's January. If I were you I would garage it until the spring and try again, the only people who really look for MX5s at this time of year are looking for a bargain or are enthusiasts.

Plenty of kit car builders are after mx5s now both mk1 and mk2, the most popular the mev exocet with 4 being sold each week so plenty of people are after that sort of car and are not that bothered about the body work could be an idea.

If you threw a stick into the field behind it, the car would probably bark and chase after it...

I think this is a very realistic assessment. In addition the mileage is definitely on the high side. I regret to say i think this will be a difficult sale in consequence. Furthermore as the man says this is the worst time of year to sell ragtops. Good luck to you anyway.
