Hi guys I cudnt find the thread I was looking for with this info.
But can anyone tell me the thread sizes for the original temp guage sensor and also the thread size for the brass adaptor that screws into the engine.
Its a pre serp without the rr sender.
Im sure some1 on here said etb may be able to supply a new sender with the correct thread to do away with the adapter

Hello Chris,
The temp sensor by TVR has a 5/8 (UNF me thinks) thread. The RR sensor has 1/8 NPT.
I guess you are trying to screw the TVR sensor in the RR position - and that will not work. Also not with an adapter.
If you mean the adapter which is already installed by TVR, I have no idea.

Just to round the circle (hopefully) I was supplied with these by the guys at ETB...

Supposedly that should be the correct sender for the "black rimmed" ETB temperature gauge and it *SHOULD* fit in the location occupied by the current rangie sender.

Just need some better weather and enthusiasm to stick it in! biggrin

hello,

no mines does not have a rr sender or the hole for one (its a pre serp)

What im trying to find out is if I can get someone (ETB?) to sell me a new sensor with the thread required to go into the engine without the TVR adaptor which takes it out the flow
