To get out of a vehicle, wearing a garment associated with either that vehicle, or the manufacturer, without looking like a complete prat?

eg, stepping out of a Subaru with the stereotypical blue 555 fleece on, or getting out of say an RS4, wearing an Audisport jacket?

Does it get better or worse you the brand gets more expensive so say stepping out of a Vantage wearing some Aston gear?

Does it ever look cool? or am I missing something?

Discuss ..

No......You look like nothing more than a sad act loser fanboy. The only time it doesnt look as silly is if you work for the company and the gear eg. A jacket is company issued.

It is not possible. It is also impossible to wear any of the gear without looking like hopeless wannabe owner.

It is very difficult unless you happen to be a professional racing driver stepping out of your work vehicle...

If anyone stepped out of a Lotus Europa (the new one) wearing any kind of Vauxhall badged clothing... I'd be impressed!!!

(although still, not all that cool)

True, but then you just look as if you're trying too hard.

There are branded two baseball caps belonging to my sons currently in my car boot and I shudder lest anyone think I would wear them.

What about a Morgan 3 wheeler and a Morgan branded sheepskin? That may work.

But to answer OP's question: I think it is impossible to look good with car-branded clothing. Although I own a lot of Porsche t-shirts, I only wear them one week in the year, during Le Mans. There it is ok, even wanted (imho), but otherwise, No Thank You!

I fear not, I recently made the mistake of wearing a Lotus f1 polo top on a recent trip to the shops in my Evora. As I got out of the car to pay for parking and remembered I was wearing my F1 polo top even I thought to myself "what a sad goon"

How about getting out of a (UK) Mugen Spec S2000 driving with a 2004 BAR fanboy jacket on?

I was guilty of that for a year or so.
