Can anyone give me a trade / retail value for this? The same one the guy I know will end up getting read when he goes to sell it at a dealership?

Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.2
06 plate
3 door
74,500 miles
Good condition

Whatcar has a free valuation thingy on their site which will give you a guide price.

Dealer - £2600
Private - £2165
Part Ex - £2070
Trade Price - £1920

No idea how accurate it is though...

Plug all the details into webuyanycar.com and that will be a rawest trade value.

Sounds very high. I'd have thought £2K trade.

Its what the computer says buddy.

06/06 Corsa 1.2 Sxi (16V) - 79bhp, older model was 74bhp discountinued in 05/55.
Newer one has 1229cc vs 1199cc.

I have an unopened Glass's Guide in the car but cant be arsed to go get it.

Crazy prices for clean 5-7 yr old part-ex's at BCA holding things firm.

I would have thought the dealer will pitch at £2,000 with a view to getting £2,200. I wouldnt like to be setting the expectation with the O/P that they will get £2625 for it trade price.

Just plugged it into WBAC and they're coming in at £1800 so thats in line with a trade price a little above that.

Older cars tend to do around CAP average at auction unless very very tidy.

My first thoughts were £2k. Its only a guide after all smile

I buy and sell cars, but do not reply on CAP or Glass's. Instinctively, the car sounds like £1700/£1800 trade. I paid £1600 for a 56 plate SXI+ example (tinted windows, fake half leather and air con) not particularly nice miles @ 80k, and a collapsed drivers' seat bolster.

In a deal, anything up to £2000 - but it's good to know what your car is realistically worth.

Agreed.

I wouldnt want the O/P to have an expectation that the trade will be bidding up at the higher £2625 figure as its just not going to happen.
