Total mayhem and gridlock today at the Dartford crossing, leading back to Junction 3, the M2 and the area around it, yet again.

When I finnaly got through two hours later, it looked like a minor shunt in one of the tunnels, between two lorries. Both looked like they could have been driven out in a few minutes? So why all the following mayhem?

Can you imagine how boring it is working there every day, they have to make themselves some excitement as often as possible. Plus it makes it look like they are earning all of that money from those tolls, imagine all of the deaths, fire and explosions if there was a bump without the rapid response biggrin

If they actually knew how much mayhem they cause while they're consumed with their own self important way of dealing with things. Years ago things were just shoved to one side and the world carried on.

AaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrGGGGGGhHhhhhh.

I was in that today too.

I was going from Tonbridge to Purfleet and had plenty of time before needing to stop.

NOT.

Joined the queue with 50 minutes driving available.

Ran out of 4 1/2 hour allocation and then crawled on for 30 minutes till i could stop.

When i came out of tunnel i saw a mixer [i think] with a bent O/S/R axle parked at the side.

I went from sidcup to Dagenham and it took two and a half hours. coming out of the tunnel I saw the mixer truck with bent rear bumper area and a Renault premium artic with a cracked screen and light front damage. My first thought was, is that all!!
