My old man bought a brand new Celica 190 T-Sport back in 2006. Its black with black leather, 17" alloys and is in near perfect condition with a perfect service history.

It's time for it to go and given my old man knows precisely fack all about anything mechanical I just want to make sure I'm not ripping him off too much by taking it off his hands next month smile

It's got 65k on it and really is in briliant condition.

Can some generous soul tell me what this would be valued as a trade in? For info he would never sell it privately, he's funy like that, always disposes of cars via trade in or just sells back to dealer, he's mental but what can you do.

Also, is there generally much love for these cars? I've only had a short blast round the block in it and I was very impressed. For a FWD car the handling was pin sharp and that engine it fekin brilliant, 8k rpm is naughty smile I can also fit the kids in the back which is proper handy and the boot is pretty big too. Covers all the bases really.

Are you giving him trade value for it rather than him trading it in?

If you go on the normal sites it will give you an idea of the retail and private sale value.

Values differ greatly on Ebay

It'll be based on the trade in value, or the price a dealer would pay for it without a trade in. He's going from 2 cars to 1 as retiring.

I've looked on Autotrader/Ebay and as you say the prices are all over the place. Hence why I think a more accurate gauge would be a Glass' guide figure. Used to be able to access it via the vauxhall site but long gone now sadly.

How about entering the details on WBAC, and adding a few hundred quid onto their valuation?
