I don't have a towing eye.
I was wondering what a recovery truck would attach it's winch to?
Do I need to carry anything just in case?

Not that it will break down of course!

The Factory sell a front towing eye you can retro fitt. Before they did I use to carry a flat rope, and the only time I was towed was on the way back from Santa Pod after a None Standard Porsche drive shaft broke. We rapped it aroung the lower front wishbone and towed it from there with me mates Laguna. He was amazed how easy I managed to stop us both with those big brakes of mine... So much so he could not pull away with my foot on the brake.

Cheers Clive,

I'll keep a strap in the car.

Make sure that you attach it to the tow vehicle at a low point, otherwise the upward slope of the strap will stress your front bodywork.

I also carry a length of car seat belt from which I can make a loop attached to the lower swing arm on both sides.
