I changed my car but my existing insurance company were very uncompetitive with there cost to insure the new car. I canceled my policy and requested proof of no claims bonus. Meantime I started a new policy with another company using my 11 years no claims. I was told to forward on poof of this once I got it. Anyway it arrived today. A letter from my old insurers stating that I had 10 or more years no claims bonus. Why doesn't it just say 11? Will my new insurers mind? At the end if this year will I have 12 years no claims or still 11?

It depends on how many years no claims the individual compnay recognise. Some cut off at 5, others for longer. If the company you're with stops at 10 then all it's ever say on renewal is 10.

Ermmmm please ignore this. I just phoned them and they are sending out a new letter.

Move along. Nothing to see here.

Edit: thanks for the advice.
