I have on both the bonnet and roof of the car a lot of small black pin sized dots which seem to be embedded in the paint work. I have have tried to look into the problem expecting it to be tree sap as I used to park my car under a tree but a few people have suggested it could be artillery fungus? I have tried to remove it by jet washing the car, using a generic tar and bug spray, Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover as well as WD-40 which someone has suggested.

Finally I've been told clay barring may help finally remove the problem? I have attached some pictures of the problem for you to look at and any help on what this is and how to deal with it would be really appreciated.

A clay bar or even T-cut should remove that although if you use the latter, some say your paint will come off or you'll end up scratching it. There are similar but better products available though.
