Would you rather it was released with bugs? I can wait, it's only a game.

100% definite going to be 17th sept?

Whens the xbox 720 out, I wonder if they're timing it for that?

I feel a week off work might be in order.

Plus it means much higher sales. There are millions of PS3s and 360s in homes worldwide, but if they were a launch title on the PS4/720 then people would have to stump up for a brand new console and the game.

If the rumours of next Gen coming this fall are true then people needing to buy new consoles isn't an issue. What do you think will be the biggest Xmas choices will be?

There's several ways this could be done

Put back release dates of games citing problems etc until next gen consoles are announced.
Release game for current consoles and have backward compatibility on new consoles.
Release game now and then new version for new console.
Develop game now, story line, gameplay, weapons, vehicles etc and then release on next gen of consoles.
  • ignoring pc platform*
Of course the uk/Europe will probably lag behind the release in Japan and USA of next gen consoles so there's no point in us getting too excited yet, I don't think we'll have the next gen here this year as I think they will be announced later this year for pre Christmas sales in USA and Japan.

I would be very surprised if there's much lag for us in Europe this time, maybe a week or so but that's about it. I think it'll be released at a similar time of the year to the 360, late November or early December.

And GTA 5 will definitely not be a 720/PS4 release title.

PC version always comes a good few months after the console release.

Or not at all in the case of Red Dead Redemption.

I thought the PC version had already been announced as coming after the consoles? Also, Sony have already mentioned the PS4 being released in the US and Japan at the end of this year with Europe following in the New Year.

I wasn't saying it won't come to the 360/PS3 but I'd be surprised if it didn't also get released on the next gen consoles. Bearing in mind the next PS and Xbox are mostly off the shelf PC parts and architecture I doubt there will be much difference in coding between the two consoles.
