Folks, got my 1st track day of 2013 coming up in a few weeks, was thinking about servicing etc on my Cayman R...Note, I only really use the car for track days and the odd sunny blast.

My questions are based on the 3 tracks days in Oct/Nov - Goodwood (once) and C.Combe (twice) and i would like to know:

1) How often should I get the oil changed (based on doing track days)?
2) How often do you change tyres? the current ones look ok, though not sure how many days I should expect out of them?
3) What should I expect from the life of brake parts?
4) Anything else I should be replacing/keeping an eye on?

Cheers
Boli.

Assuming you get about 2 hours proper running over a day then engine and gearbox oil every 4-6 days.
Brake fluid should last the year assuming you run something decent and bleed before each day. If your doing alot of days then flush and change mid way through the year.
Pads and brakes will vary massively depending on your speed and how much you use them. If you use pagids try not to run the pads much below 50% however.

Mark all your suspension bolts and get into the habit of checking for signs of movement/loosening before every day.
Full alignment atleast twice a year. Add extras if you hit the curbs hard or have an off.
Keep an eye on your driveshaft cv boots/joints. The grease from the factory isn't designed for the heat from track use. You could preempt and repack with hi temp grease but its expensive and messy. Just keep an eye out for the grease coming out as your sign to get in and repack.
