Next best thing to a Wedge I guess and newly built by the look of it. What a car.

I agree a Cobra is a great car even a kit version.
But not the Sumo.
The best and most expensive is the Gardener Douglas Cobra kit. As seen on Wheeler Deelers last year, true that's not a good advert, but they are the best.
I nearly got one instead of buying num 1 to restore!
Also I can't see the slight damage!
Opps ! Correction can see the damage!
That's not a easy repair!

I think it will need a new rear/near side quarter panel at least!

Andy. I thought a pot of filler and a sanding disc would do the trick, but maybe not to the trained eye. I know what you're saying, fibre glass is deceiving.
I don't actually know much about the Cobra except that they fetch a fortune. I was merely pointing out that this one looks awesome and is still newish. Shame about the damage.

Mmm, 400 miles and rear end damage !!
So the guy bought it, got cocky, lost bottle/control and spins out on open road/corner.
Panics and decides to sell (too much car for you his wife says) MLC over.
Apart from the rear damage, calculate in replacing the s**t stained drivers seat as it probably soaked in and non-removeable now !!!!!!
Like Tank says, they are the low end of cobra reps....but great value "bang for buck".
Silverstone classic last year there were a shed load on display, and they vary from full on Daytona garb to Ace/Bristol simplicity.
Probably one of the best looking cars ever built in any of those guises.
If you are thrill seeking, you probably could not top (value wise) a westie/caterham/lotus.
Do it Elvis, and get me on as named driver !!!!!!!

Looks like the driver spun off and whacked something with the rear end.
From experience repairing/bodging a similar bump on my first wedge, the cracks will keep re-appearing for 6 months. Probably better off chopping that whole corner off and glassing in a new one, the wedge is relatively easy because of the flat panels, but that would be a nightmare to get right once it's glossed over.
Also watch out for any distortion to the rear chassis - the wheel may have taken a whack.

Hi
I have just restuded the pic can anybody see the rear exhaust as well as the side pipes? Strange to say the least!
What's this Dax are good, no way they are the same level as a Sumo!
The beauty of a Gardner Douglas is the chassis is similar to a TVR with a central spine which after the removal of a few bolts and fittings the body comes off!

Gain access to inside of wing, push eggshell bits back to approximate contour and glass up the inside to keep it all in place. Reshape the outside with filler, take a mould of the finished panel.
Chop off the damage from that front split backwards, use the mould to produce a new wing and glass it in.
OR... as above, reshape the wing with mat, resin and filler, respray and drive it. I know a guy up here (posts as 'froggy' from time to time) who did just that with a Cerbera. Got a £20K+ car for under £6K as I recall.
What's the difficulty?
