I might need to trailer a classic back to Leeds from near Cambridge.

Anyone know if you can rent some sort of flat bed for a day?

1) What car?
2) Try Shiply.

Élan +2 is still tempting me.

Saw a dry sump, 200hp twin cam engine for sale that would make it quite nippy!

If it is all complete as the seller suggests, it is sorely tempting.

Do you have to be there in person? I know of a company that are very reasonable and can collect it on your behalf. I had my car collected from Oxford and brought to me.

If you go direct to a transporter company you'll be looking at anything from £1-£1.50 per mile. If you register on Shiply, add your job then you'll see what bids you get from who. There's lots of chancers doing it on the cheap but you can also get big outfits trying to fill their trailers.
I had my ML55 taken from Reading to Harrogate for £75 (ish) and as long as you are flexible with time you'll get a pro doing it for daft cash.

Search for trailer hire on eBay and there's some trailers for £35 per day.
