My sister is wanting a sub £250 camera and I have seen good things about the Sony HX20V.

Before I buy it - just thought I would ask on here and see what your thoughts are - and if there are any downsides to the camera?

Not sure why you would choose that over the standard-setting TZ-30. Its almost a Leica, after all.

Also available on eBay as manufacturer refurbs for around £170, or as the TZ27 (TZ30 minus the GPS) for £150ish.

The Sony is a cracking camera as is the Panasonic.

I went with the Panasonic TZ-30 and it arrived today so she will be testing it out this weekend I imagine.

I will report back once she lets me know how she gets on. smile
