Recently bought these SP12s off another PHer.
Mat Smith's first comment was "They would look nice in black".
My first thought was "Bright!"
Any thoughts as to whether I should keep them as they are, repaint black, or perhaps go for a nice mid-grey inbetween?
A bit of Photoshopping, if any kind person has the time, would be most welcome.....

I put them on the car to see what the 888s felt like. Brilliant, and I didn't even get them warmed up. I am being told that I should keep the 888s warm, ie take them off the car for now. Toyo said bks when I phoned them yesterday. What does the PH collective say? Do I need to get the wheel brace out between 6 Nations matches?

No!

Toyo warn against using them in freezing conditions.

Just use common sense!

Even I am not stupid enough to drive on 888s in a downpour, snowstorm or sheet ice. I have standard road tyres on Imolas for that. And, frankly, an A8 quattro and a Mercedes ML if its really bad.
Its being told to store them in the spare bedroom that had me puzzled........I don't want to damage the rubber if they are somehow prone to cold due to the compound, nor do I want to flat spot them by leaving the car standing on them or days at a time. It's knowing what precautions to take to keep them in A1 condition that puzzles me

Plasti-dip them.. that way if you don't like it you can peel it off. You can change the colour every week if you like smile

Thanks Chilli and Jules. Good idea. I have kept a tab open on their website, ever since that thread, so clearly great minds think alike.
I had always thought that a navy car with the gentleman's club interior (magnolia leather/walnut dash) ought to have standard Imola coloured wheels. With these I am not so sure..... Just wanted to canvas opinion on a cold afternoon while watching the rugby
